On order!!! Thank you so very much! Saved me quite a bit over a Vetus wheel. Pulled the original to make sure it had a 3/4” taper.

I pilot the DuNORD while standing at the helm with the top open in fair weather and can easily reach down to the new rim of the wheel for 360-degree contact, whereas formerly it was finger-tip-touch, spoke-to-spoke. In close quarter maneuvers the knob tells me where neutral helm is.

I talked dad into one of those camp-on knobs for the '51 Chevy DeLuxe (our Albin-25 is a Deluxe, too) but it didn't last long.

Got it installed! I wish I had ordered the next size up but this clears my legs when sitting so I think it will be good. At some point i might swap in a new steering cable. When installing the wheel I played around a little with the helm and it seems like the friction is in the cable and not in the autopilot. I swapped cable in my bowrider and that made it much lighter on the wheel , almost to light. Does anyone know the length of the A25 cable?

Looks great! Any larger and it would interfere with stuff.

I’m bummed! I tried to order a wood wheel as well, however the chandlery just cancelled my order as the wheel is out of stock and discontinued! Dang!

Can you call them and find out who they sourced it from? Perhaps THEY can still get you one. Just a thought.
