I Hate to bore all you long suffering Albineers....
You may remember our Minnow from a series of entries that I posted last year about the work that we did on her, "Minnow... modifications and additions. (A long winded discussion)" Parts one and two), and then another series of posts where we documented our trip up the inside passage to Alaska "The Minnow's 65 day Alaska Cruise". Well we had a fabulous trip, she exceeded all expectations, and we left our girl in Alaska to over winter under shrink-wrap in Petersburg. In June we are planning on returning to bring her back down to Puget sound, and have decided to put her up for sale. As you can imagine we went through many guilty moments coming to this decision. She is nothing more than a construct of fiberglass and steel and wood and wire, but it still feels like a kind of like a betrayal after she worked her heart out to take us up there in such comfort and safety. We credit her with opening our eyes to all the places up North where we want to go and sadly places that she is not capable of taking us to. As stout and plucky as she is we know her limitations and crossing the gulf of Alaska and cruising down the Aleutian chain is not an option for her. So we hope to find new captain and crew that can continue her Nautical Saga that is no where near done.

For more information, I have posted a thread in the “Swap/Trade/Sell” section, under the heading “Albin 25 for sale - The Minnow is Returning From Alaska”

We are currently in Ketchikan in our A25 waiting for a weather window to get to Prince Rupert. Agree, Hyacinth did an outstanding job of keeping us safe from Olympia to Sitka but the weather in SE Alaska has tired us humans out so she is going to get trailered home. We will keep Minnow in mind as we continue south on the water and road and if we hear of someone with interest we will refer them your way.

Norman & Clarice,

Safe trip home! You guys are amazing! Come visit us again in AZ next winter if/when you RV down to Mexico, we'd love to hear about your Alaska adventures. FYI, we were in Olympia for a couple days last month, arriving on 5/21, stayed a night in a hotel in Lacey after putting La Dolce Vita on consignment with Capital City Yachts (office next to Fiddlehead Marina) & before visiting Rick & Heidi, aka "WillieC", in Belfair, thence driving up to Lake Louise & Banff in Alberta. Back home now. La Dolce Vita is now in storage on the trailer in Olympia at Zittel's marina storage yard up the hill from the marina. Appreciate keeping us in mind as well if you hear of someone with interest. See our ad on Capital City Yachts web page, Yachtworld, & Craigslist. We have some Seattle area competition, three other A25's besides ours now on Seattle Craigslist, all early full displacement variants, two with trailers, one without, one with mast rig (no sails) & new Beta 25 engine (25 HP @ 3600 RPM), & one with radar & 2013 vintage 18.6 HP continuous Yanmar 3YM30. The one with Radar & no trailer in Anacortes could be Mike Almvigs, but not sure. When it rains it pours I guess.
