Hi,
I have noticed that my bonding wire has broken off the rudder post. It looks like it connects to the pinch bolt on the rudder arm. Before I fix this in the water I wanted to check to ensure that if I loosen the pinch bolt the rudder is not going to drop out and sink the boat. I assume there is something else holding the rudder up besides the rudder control arm but you know what they say about assuming.
Cheers,
Rob

If you have the single screw, the skeg bar shoe is providing rudder support and you're worry free.rhutch98 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 2:20 pm Hi,

It won't drop out. You should also have a packing nut that gives a bit or resistance even if the shoe was off.
