Changing steering in A25

I just replaced my steering with all the parts you listed. I purchased everything on Amazon and Ebay. In my refit of my Albin 25 this was the easiest and stress free job I've done. Even the threads on the clevis joint bolt were the same threads as on the rudder arm.

Glad to hear!!! While you are at it, replace the throttle and shifter cable also. I got stuck in reverse when entering Cori Wilson’s lock on Erie canal (E21). I think i made a post on that too.

Oops!!!

I replaced my throttle cable in November 2019. Shift cable still seems OK. It crosses over from starboard to port & doesn't come near the hot exhaust manifold. Of course it's the single lever OEM throttle/shift. Repowered in 1986, so the cable is at least no older than that & I'd have to look at inherited records to see how old the shift cable actually is. Right now it's too hot to even think about going inside the boat & look at the cable & pull out inherited PO docs that I keep in the boat. It's 109 outside with predicted high to be 115. If that's the case it's at least 125 in the cabin & cockpit, possibly as high as 130.

Steve, if they are black they were replaced. The originals were blue. 26 years is probably ok but its easy to test them.
