Are there any thoughts about a Rendezvous this season or is everyone staying hunkered down? Gotta start planning the season.

Bob,
Activity is very slow this season. No one has contacted me with interest. I can only assume interest is there but we need someone to rally the troops.
Any ideas?

Well selfish but, Greenport L.I. NY. Mitchell Park Lot's of eateries within walking, Carousel for the young ones, Grassy area for get togethers. Easy from NY., CT., RI., MA., (NJ.well sorta a)

Hey Holiday - jump on in and host a rendezvous! We did a Greenport Rendezvous at Townsend's a few years ago and had a great time.

Or maybe ControlIssues32 has control issues and wants to host in Boston??

Hello Sonny IV, and others interested. My apologies on the delay getting back to all. Been busy getting Holiday in the water and just sold my old boat. I am in the mist of trying to knock off a lot of projects (renovating my house) and arranging a Rendezvous might be a bit too much for me at this time. I can get in touch with Scott the owner (friend of mine) of Townsend manor. I also know dock master at Mitchell Park. I guess I can at least inquire... my best time is end of summer or perhaps September. Is there a preference?

I tried Townsend in Sept last year it was a great spot to be able to hit town for dinner etc,

We hosted the Rendezvous at Townsend's in Greenport a number of years ago and would be happy to share what we learned about hosting there (and assist), ie. needed to rent a tent and tables, circa $300., not bad when split among boats, as there is no sheltered area when it rains (which of course it always does...). The location is great, close to town, has a pool, restaurant, etc.
Essex Island is always winner also: covered area, walking to town, pool, etc.

Ours is on a trailer. Can do anywhere as long as we can find a ramp and a friendly guy allowing us to park :-) Just dropped Driftless in Groton and went to Mystic for the weekend. Got a little day trip up to westerly in too.
