Pressure water system problem

I would leave the strainer out. I've never had anything in mine for 14 years.
I do have a 10 micron debris filter just ahead of the pump and that catches things.
Please do what Rob and I asked and if no water flows remove the tank fill cap. That will let air in in case your vent line is plugged.

I did pull the connection closest to the tank and of course water poured out but... From that point it 90’s up about 7” and then 90’s up again to go into The strainer another few inches and this is now above the level of the tanks water surface. Because of this i get no water flowing if I simply disconnect the pumps inlet because it is higher than the water level in the tank.

Yes i did check the air vent by blowing through it. I also just removed the fill cap.

I appreciate all the help... as i said before. My last boat was sold in 2005 so i’m rusty for sure. I tell ya though its coming back quick with this project!!

Pump above water level -- verify the pump you are using is self-priming.
Extreme temperature deltas over the winter could have created a leak at one of your connections as it sounds like you have several between the tank and the pump. Running a temporary test line direct from tank to the pump would be useful troubleshooting but might not be so easy if your setup with the whale or pex type piping and fittings.

Is it possible to move the pump so it is not higher than the tank level?
That would eliminate a lot of issues including winterizing and recommissioning next spring.

Finally got to the bottom of the issue and it was what most of you said. A small leak between the tank and the pump. I would have never found it had i not given up and removed the entire run to replace it. It was one of the quick connect fittings before The strainer. Not sure if it froze or just wasn’t seated right.
