AC error, not what you think

Post by ksquared »

At least not what I was thinking. So I am slowly getting to know my Albin 28TE, with initial engine issues, kids, work, etc 4 years have flown by. Being in Northern California, I haven't used my AC much but every once in awhile I would run it to make sure it still worked.

Recently, I turned it on and it shut off and gave the dreaded HPF code. Searching the boards I found that most reported air in the water line or a blocked strainer.

But to my surprise, the air flow (not water flow) screen was completely blocked! After scraping all the lint off, the AC was working. So I am in the process of ordering an air filter for the intake air vent that is located underneath the adjustable table. Looking to put in a 9x13 air filter. Do others use an air filter?

Yikes! That's one dirty air filter. For me it's an annual change, regardless and sourced at the big box orange HD store.

That's not an air filter but the condenser grate. I guess one was never used before me.
