Will anyone pick up the lead for PNW this season?

Post by whwells »

Have not seen a posting for the 2019 season. We had some good times in the past. Were I local would be happy to help. However, Northern Cal. as home base make it difficult.

Dave and Denise have moved onto a Nordic tug as past co chairs with me. I just sold my Nordhavn 46
in Anacortes, WA. as way too much boat for me with a single engine. May return to the Albin family.
We will see.

Hope someone steps up soon.

Not in a position to lead any PNW rendezvous, but we're returning to San Juans & Gulf Islands again this summer. Hoping to be in Sidney, BC on July 1st for Canada Day celebrations & from then on knocking around the Gulf Islands & later down to the San Juans & maybe even Puget Sound through the rest of July & into August. We did Desolation Sound last year and Princess Louisa Inlet/Chattebox Falls in '16, so been there, done that. May try to catch the Albineers of BC rendezvous in Ladysmith on July 11-12.

Check out that Albin 25 for sale in Bend, OR as listed on the AOG classifieds page. Ideal boat to trailer anywhere, like Hira Reid used to do with her "Shatoosh". Small is good all the way around, easier to handle, easier on the wallet. You could do the Delta AND Salish Sea.

Have you got any info on the event you mentioned at Ladysmith in July?

Thanks,

BC Albineer 2019 rendezvous schedule?

http://www.albinbc.com/2018-social-calendar

The URL says "/2018-social-calendar" but when you open it it's the 2019 calendar.

They are:
  • May 10/12 (this weekend) Port Browning, N. Pender Island
  • June 7/9 Telegraph Harbour, Thetis Is.
  • July 12/14 Ladysmith, Vancouver Is.
  • Sept 13/15 Genoa Bay Marina (near Cowichan, Vancouver Island BC)
  • Nov 9, Victoria
Since the May meet is already happening & we won't be up there before July 1st and will be home in September the July meet is the only one we'd have a chance to attend.
