Awlgrip on Valkyrie

Post by Alan_Douville »

Been a longer than expected winter project, but top and bottom awlgrip almost done... Should be another week before she splashes on Lake Michigan. Looking forward to a great new boating year!

Gorgeous! Did you do it yourself? Now the fun part - putting it all back together.

Really only another week to splash? Jealous. Hope you have your longjohns, though.

Wow! I'm jealous!

And I LOVE the details on the swim platform! Very Cool!!

EDIT - AND I just noticed the stern thruster! That's a sweet setup.

No, I am not the one painting it, that would not be a wise choice on my part. The team doing it are professionals, final coats of clear coat go on this week, we are getting new Isinglass installed and a real cushion for the berth so we can sleep in comfort not pain. Fishing has already started on Lake Michigan, Coho Salmon are the first wave out there so we are pushing them to finish but this has been a great way to pass the winter for sure.

DougSea, I know... Stern thruster is a bit of overkill but in my river slip, comes in handy with the current!
