Peninsular raw water pump
My 1996 300hp Penninsular has an issue with the raw water pump, it seems I ordered the wrong one from Penninsular, I thought I had a Johnson pump(we tossed the original)I swear it said Johnson in faded letters on the plate, I ordered a turnaround pump, but it doesn't line up with the pulley,I don't see how the "standard" one would be better, I wonder if I really need the jabsco pump, any info would help

Re: Penninsular raw water pump
One thing I just thought of is have a welder or someone build a plate to move the pump forward of the engine to line up the belt with the pully. A plate can be fabricated with holes that line up with both the pump and bracket. bolt the plate on the bracket and bolt the pump to the plate. Another option is to have a welder fabricate a new bracket to align the pump with the pully.
