Thats one of the things I like best about tying up in Beaufort N.C. at the town docks! The slips are right at the street side and there is usually a crowd. The tide is ripping across the thoroughfare and the wind is howling as we are crab walking it in. The Admiral and kids have the fenders out and the lines ready as we glide it right in and tie it off without saying so much as a word. Just takes practice!

I agree..practice! I will say, I prefer floating docks as opposed to the pilings. We had those all the way down the coast until NC. Both of us, the Admiral and Captain, had a bit of learning to do....we got used to it, but I can't say I liked it :(
It's all about relaxation :)
