Hynautic steering system

Post by Fireant4040 »

'78 classic. I have a hydraulic leak coming from the steering wheel on the upper helm. What common issues could be causing this? Anyone know about these Hynautic systems?

You need to replace the shaft seal.

Just had one rebuilt. The parts were $50.00. Took a little time but no big deal.

I had a problem with my hynautic system also. I sent it off to a guy in NC for a rebuild. He found someone had put 2 of the pistons in upside down during previous repairs. If I can find his name I will post it for you.
