Biobor diesel fuel inhibitor vs. Valvetect fuel
Most marina's in my area now are dispensing Valvetect fuel. Do you still need to add an inhibitor like Biobor when you fill up?

Re: Biobor diesel fuel inhibitor vs. Valvetect fuel
Valvetec says no, all the additive package is already in the fuel.

i would say it all depends on how long your fuel sits in your tank. mine doesn't age

Cape Codder wow great fuel prices up there. My SW Florida coast prices $3.19 - $3.85, for Valvtect diesel. Doesn't sit in my tank long but its hot down here. Thanks all for the input. TA

Re: Biobor diesel fuel inhibitor vs. Valvetect fuel
I've used Biobar with Valvtect dispensed fuel for three years and no problems. I've heard that Valvtect isn't necessarily delivered with all the inhibitors, but mixed on-site during delivery. Valvtect apparently sends people out to test the mix at each site. No, I don't burn thru 380 gals very fast as I'm not cruising, but just putting around.

Re: Biobor diesel fuel inhibitor vs. Valvetect fuel
I have been using Valtect for 4 years with a new engine and no problem. A buddy of mine in the same marina was using road diesel and every year his fuel filters were a mess. He switched to Valtect, and his filters are clean.
