Fuel Tank bedding 28TE
I have opened up and cleaned my tank. Originally I was going to remove it for cleaning but found I was going to have to cut glass to accomplish this. Work was done without removing it, but I did disconnect all hoses and brackets. Tank was loose and could be moved for side to side. The aft starboard tab on the tank was broken so I have installed a strap tie down. Now that I an re-connecting I have found that the aft end of the tank appears about 1 inch lower. This results in the problem that the fuel intake hose and sea strainer output hose interfere with each other. Does anyone have experience with what is under tank and why it would be sitting lower?

Could you shim the low corner? My tank was removed by the PO who placed two wood strips running fore to aft under the tank.

I was also thinking the same. I'm going to use a remote snake camera tomorrow to have a look under the tank.
