86degrees C or 187 but a little hotter does not hurt

An update two years later - the link http://www.pumpvendor.com times out and http://www.depcopump.com will not find the pump kit item #.
www.americandieselcorp.com has gone too.

As far as i know Bob Smith is still in business...his website (American Diesel) was never much to begin with. it basically had one page, with his address and number on it.

He is old school and prefers to do things over the phone. He has a username here but rarely posts, i talked to him late summer/early fall and he, at that point had no intention of closing or stopping support of the Lehman.

It is definitely worth your time to call and talk to him.

That is excellent news - many thanks.
I fly UK to Charleston, SC next week to step on board for the first time.
I'll give Bob a call when I arrive.
I like 'old school'.

Don: The pump is a Johnson 10-24119.

I have a new thermostat in the box for the 4D61 on my boat. Next time I go to the marina I'll try to remember to write down the info and post it. Bug me if I forget. I don't know if anyone else has mentioned Rockauto on line as a source for Peugeot engine parts.

Just got the available parts list from Brian at American Diesel. It's his 2006 list, but he will gladly update prices.

Good luck

NAPA sells the NGK 6929 glow plug which fits the Peugeot 504 auto diesel for $22.99 each

http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Resul ... %2b2054004

I would test the ones in your engine first - Disconnect the wiring so you can measure each individual plug with an ohmmeter. If they measure nearly a dead short, they are good - If you get a high resistance or an open, it's burned out

Ruh roh..... Google indenor diesel. I better start hunting for a water pump. I don't know if one exists, but it would sure be marvelous if someone could compile a "here's the NAPA/Advance/PeP part number...." For the 4D61...

Has anyone already done this?

There's also a place in Georgia (I think) that rebuilds them.

I got my water pump off of eBay and another one from rock auto. Wasn't planning on two but I messed up. Now I have two spares. What's got me is the water hoses on the front of the engine. I just found the banjo fuel lines the other day that where coast guard approved. I thought that was a major accomplishment. The next project for me is pulling the fuel tank. I'm going to do that while the thruhalls are removed so I can run the siphon hose thru them and into a barrel. Then I want have to use a pump.

OK, I give up... what's a "banjo" fuel line?

For the rst of the world, I compiled the following so far:

Peugeot XDP 90 2112cc off a Peugeot Diesel 504 0r 505
Lancing Marine UK sells parts for it
NAPA Timimg Belt #XL 25-11485/9451
The Thermostat is Motorad 238-170
Johnson Pump FSB9 1024119
Glo Plugs are NAPA NGK 6929

Feel free to add your part and numbers to the list and where you got the Part
