Exhaust tube Cracked!!! CAN SINK BOAT!!

Hey Guys,

Fyi may be you might have the same problem down the road.

I have a 1994 28 TE and the fiberglass exhaust tube cracke in a spiral off the glass. this caused a major leak and if I did not find it in time the boat would have sunk.

Looks like a design flaw. I am replacing the entire tube with rubber exhaust tube and new elbow glassed into the boat.

keep an eye on this one you may have the same problem it is a old fiber glass isse.

I have 2001 28 TE were I am experiencing a small water leek at the end cap joint of the fiberglass exhaust tube. Wondering where your crack was located and what specifically was your fix ? thanks !
