31 te lead in lazeret
Recently purchased a 2001 31te with 420 yanmar single screw previous owner istalled 1000 pounds of lead in lazerrete said boat want trimed right seems like a lot of extra weight. Anyone done this or have an opinion

My 31 has lead weights in the stern. I had the same question before I purchased my boat. It seems they added them to balance out the boat. It is nowhere near a thousand pounds. There is a previous thread about it on this site. Can't give you more information than that. I don't think is anything to worry about.
