Ethernet cable length

Post by Panhdjoe »

Hello, I will be installing upper and lower helm chart plotters on our 1983 36 classic, It will be necessary to join them with an ethernet cable. Does any one know the length of cable I will need? The boat is 7 hours away and we will not own it till the week after thanksgiving. I am not sure how it needs to be routed either. The standard cable 25ft.

25 feet would EASILY work in my 40. I imagine it would be plenty for a 36 as well.
