Earlier this month I took "katie G" on on trip down the Ottawa River to Montreal. The first stop was at Chateau Montebello which boasts a high end resort with an excellent marina. A second stop was at the Hudson Yacht Club on the Lake of Two Mountains near Montreal. A great view of the sunset. Between Ottawa and Montreal there is a sixty foot drop in the water level at Carillion that is accommodated by a modern one-step hydraulic lock. katie G can be seen waiting to enter the lock at the lower end and then inside the lock before the water level starts to rise.
The Ottawa River is very scenic and a great place for an Albin!
