Hoping to be there with my Dad. The date once again conflicts with our big Yacht Club clambake so Kathy won't be with me (at least she made the first Rendezvous so some of you know she exists!) and I'll be leaving early.

Current plans are to head up Thursday and to depart on Saturday around noon.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

(Ric should bring the "new" boat along, he's going to be a part of this group for a long time to come)

UPDATE: Made my reservation today. Sorry I won't be there for the Saturday evening fun but I'm sure a good time will be had on Friday!

Signed up today for Essex Island, we will be there in our NSC 40, was there a few years ago in our 28 and had a great time. I am trying to get another 40 from Portsmouth too.
Making the trip up from NJ, cruising for about 10 days.
Essex said at this point they had about 8 boats with reservations, get a reservation if you do not have one yet!!

We have decided to come to The Rendezvous and have just made reservations at the Essex Island Marina. Looking forward to meeting other members of the group. My wife, Camille, and I have been cruising Long Island Sound for about 50 years and have owned our 1986 Albin 43, Sundeck Trawler, "BLAST," since 1988. Our home slip is at The South Minneford Yacht Club, on City Island (the Western End of L.I. Sound) and have been members of The Harlem Yacht Club, also on City Island, since 1981. Our trips with The Harlem, where I was the Fleet Captain for 20 years and Commodore in 1986, include Provincetown, Lakes Champlain, Erie and Oswego as well as most ports on The Sound and Narraganset Bay.

We live in Larchmont, NY

As Dave mentioned in the opening post, there are multi night deals:

Pay for 3 nights, get the 4th free
or,
Pay for 5 nights, get 2 free

Unfortunately, they do not offer moorings. It seemed that there were quite a few on the moorings last year at Coecles. The nearest moorings would be Essex Yacht Club or the Brewer Dauntless http://www.byy.com/CTLocations/Essex/Welcome.aspx which are walking or dinghy distance.

If you'll have us, Karen & I would like to attend. We are former Albineers (28TE, Time after Time). Now in a 1993 Jersey Sportfish....

We are thinking about going to the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic, it's the same weekend. Our buddy Sawzall Dave competes with his 1965 Egg Harbor this year. We've never seen him there as it's always been the same weekend as the Albin Rendezvous. We may split the weekend and follow the Schepi back to Block...

Sounds good, safety in numbers, why travel with 1 engine when you can have 3 !
BTW, Speaking of block, how are you carrying the dinghy these days?

We're not right now. When we get here we will put it on the bow, plenty of room there.

Jack and Barbara on Kokomo (TE-28) hope to attend. We are moving the boat early July from Huntington Harbor to Essex, probably to the Dauntless Marina right across the water from the Essex Island Marina. We will be moving from Long Island to Connecticut and house-hunting in the Essex area. Couldn't commit earlier to being at the rendezvous because of several uncertainties. We hope to see you all there. :)
