Removing Poly-Glo

Howdy folks!

I'm changing the name on my transom and the blue hull was Poly-Glo'd over the vinyl letters.

Well the vinyl letters came off fine but removing the Poly-Glo is a real bear...

Poly-Glo told me to scrub off the old acrylic with "Spray Nine", well what a job! Does antybody have any short cuts?

I have about two hours of scrubbing in and more time to go. My transom paint is beautiful and I don't want to damage it.

This job is extending my splash time.

I have also read acetone will remove it. Test first. I have never done this myself.

Don't use acetone!!! Bad, bad, bad. Use Poli-Strip and the light scrubber they send along. Lots of water, then Poli-Prep hull before you apply Poli Glow. Works fine.

The folks at Poly-Glo told me to use Spray Nine and a scrubby. I'll get to them in the morning and get some of the stripper. Thanks Folks!!
