I'm a little lazy today and don't feel like searching.
Has anyone found a exact size replacement speaker for the TE 28 cockpit? I don't need anything fancy. Just decent.

Re: Cockpit speaker replacements
John,
I just replaced all 4 of mine, 2 in the cockpit and 2 in the cabin. The new Sony's have the same screw pattern so I went with them. I checked the screw pattern at West Marine and then got them MUCH cheaper at J&R Music in NYC.
Here are cell phone pics I took at West Marine:
Here is the link to what I bought at J&R: http://www.jr.com/sony/pe/SON_XSMP1620W/
Here is what I replace which was original and is likely what you have:

Re: Cockpit speaker replacements
I just replaced my trashed cockpit speakers with the stock Marine speakers from the interior of my V berth which were in perfect shape since they're inside out of the weather.
Then I bought new three way, 6.5 inch Car speakers for the cabin thus getting a much better speaker and speaker selection for replacing my cabin speakers for the same price as the stock two way Marine speakers.
The difference between Marine speakers and Car Audio is Marine speakers either have a waterproof speaker cone or have a solid back so water doesn't enter the void behind the speaker. My 2 cents

Re: Cockpit speaker replacements
I used "Fusion" speakers bought at West Marine. Same reason as above, the screw pattern was the same.
