Oil leak

Post by scallywag98 »

Has anyone had a problem with an oil leak above the harmonic balancer causing the oil to spray all over the place. It seems to happen only on runs of 40 minutes or more. The engine is the beast Penn. diesel 300 hp in a Albin 28TE 1998. Appreciate any ideas before I start pulling eveything apart?

I'm not even sure where that would be on my engine, can you post a picture?

Have you called Penninsular? They're usually pretty helpful although I find calling gets a much quicker response than an e-mail.

Post your findings and good luck!
