displacement

Post by svpp10 »

Just wondering, the ads on "YachtWorld.com" list the displacement of the 27 AC as 6500 to 6700, and the "Sports Cruiser" boat as 7000. Does anyone know for sure what the design displacement of these boats is?
Thanks for your time, Paul

I don't, but if you want to nail it down exactly and have your boat hauled over the road, most professional haulers will detour to a scale. I had my last boat weighed after I radically modified (raised cockpit sole, large fuel tank, new bulkheads, etc) it just to see how much weight I had added. Considering the minor interior changes made in the boat I suspect 27's might vary 100 lbs easily at times from boat to boat.

Don't forget all the 'stuff' that 'she who must be obeyed' drags onto the boat & deems it necessary. Had to raise waterline twice because of that.
