Newbie on Kent Island

Post by Bluey »

Hi, ultranewbie here. Just signed the papers a couple weeks ago on a 2000 Albin 28. Presently on Kent Island (where the tide runs faster than the boat speed limit!) and know almost nothing about any of this. I'll be needing a lot of help, and maybe a new marina that doesn't have unprotected east-west facing slips: I'd like to be able to take her out once in a while.

I know Kent Island. Spent a couple of nights in Piney Narrows marina one summer.
The funny story that goes with this.....it was my first trip to the area and I had a one year old paper chart. Little did I know that was the year they changed the entrance from the north to the narrows...we were looking and looking and couldn't find the markers. We had to set a while and watch traffic to figure out where they moved them. LOL  Oh well, that's boating!!
