Hope Boiler #2 June2009 001.jpg
The liner wall in the aft cabin was rotted to the point of falling apart, as was the paneling around the window, the wall was replaced with 1/2" Azek which is basicly a residential grade starboard, then retrimmed using most of the original and a few new pieces.

The fwd bulkhead was also rotted, we wanted to keep the original look and feel. So we completely tore out the wall after removing all the trim shelves and vinyl, and cut a new wall out of 7/8" marine grade teak plywood, put an 1/8" alum. plate on the back side of the post for good measure. (No rot just an insurance) and then tabbed it in with one layer chopped strand and three of 14oz tape. it should stay.

not too great of a photo, but we reinstalled the valences in the salon after refinishing, and here is the first sliding pane installed after the new track and flashing, maybe some new trim this weekend?

We will make a whole post just about the windows soon, they could all be installed by this weekend!! screens to come after the glass install is completed. They look like boat jewelery, and he promises they will no leak!!
