We have been sailing for 33 years and now have gone over to the other side. Honestly we had been looking for about 2 years in the Great lakes/Eastern seaboard area. After 4 false starts we found our Albin 36 Classic on Lake Huron. We closed the deal late last fall (Sept 2009) and explored the North Channel until we had to put her up for the winter in Gore Bay. We will continue to explore in the spring and eventually bring her home to Barrie on Lake Simcoe. From there we will do some outfitting and then go east down the Trent canal system.
We explored the Toronto boat show this weekend, not a great place for trawlers but great accessories, electronics and outfitting opportunities.

Re: New owner Classic 36
Welcome Aboard!! We absolutely love the North Channel, it's by far our favorite destination. We too gave up sailing this past fall and purchased our 82 Albin 36, she is currently in process of a pretty major refit. We plan to launch in May and enjoy all summer, then continue the improvements and up grades over the next few winters.[attachment=0]The Lass restoration 196 (36).jpg
