I'm the proud owner of a "new" 2006 28 TE. Bought it from a former Albin dealer this fall. It has never been in the water and we're finishing the fit up this fall and looking forward to a spring launch. After many years of sailing on the Maine coast we're looking forward to getting a little further a little quicker.

Wow! The life has returned to the Albin market anyway! Welcome. This is what? The fourth new owner in 2 weeks? The Obama stimulous package seems to really be working!   LOL. Seriously, congratulations, the Albin 28 is a great favorite of sailors going to "the dark side". There is lot's of great info on this site about customizing, handling and maintaining your boat. I'm finishing my 3rd season with a 03' 28TE and still find this group to be helpful and fun.

I have never experienced that new boat smell. Post some pictures when you get a chance.
