I might pack a sport jacket for the chance at some free cocktails. We used to crash weddings at a local wedding "factory" in SE MA, the Venus DeMilo in Seekonk MA. They would often have 4-6 weddings going in different function rooms on a good Saturday. It was easy to hang at the lobby bar, chat up a bridesmaid and get invited right in to an open bar wedding. Whoo Hooo! Macarina baby!

Now that June is upon us should we be thinking about the Saturday get together on the deck. My suggestion being a comprehensive list of goodies ( snacks, salads, dogs, hamburgers, steaks, desserts, drinks, etc. ) that each boat can then indicate they would bring. Hopefully this would minimize too much of one thing and not enough of another.
An Albin dine around!

I see in Soundings that we'll be sharing the weekend with a Nordic Tug rendezvous at EIM. There is an active Nordic dealer in the same harbor area. My guess is that the old trawler folks (I'm old but not a trawlerer anymore) will be bedding down early, and unable to hear you noisy Albiners.

Because, besides boaters being boaters, we made the Block Isl. rendezvous.

Speaking for myself I have no agenda and at this point I don't know if there is anything specific. I'll probably be dock walking and bumming beers. Typical meet and greet.

Reservations made. The Afterglow crew will be arriving via Amtrak on the 23rd to relax a little. If anyone is up for dinner that night we are staying at Copper Beech Inn.
