Next spring we plan on taking our boat to Ft. Myers, across the Okeechobee, and down through the Keys. Then back across Florida Bay to St. Petersburg.
For those of you that have cruised in the Keys, which guidebooks or other information did you find usefull?
Thanks,
Doug

Re: Cruising the Florida Keys
Doug: I have spent a good deal of time cruising in the Keys. I found "Cruising Guide to the Florida Keys by Capt Frank Papy very helpful. You can find it on the net: www.floridacruising.com
There is also a cruising network organized by Claiborne Young called "The Salty Southeast Cruisers Net" that I think is quite good. Recently he posted a "Western Florida Wish List" and a "Florida Keys Wish List". Both consisted of very recent information about those areas from cruisers for cruisers. You will also find a good deal of information about the on going controversy involving the right to anchor in Florida waters. You can find them at www.cruisersnet.net
Hope that helps,
Scott
