Diesel Life

Post by Rick »

I am looking at a 27 powered with a Nissan LD 28 with over 3000 hours on it. If properly maintained, what usable life could one expect from this Nissan?

Can't help much other than recommending boatdiesel.com. Surely worth the price of admission

Rick,
Welcome to the group. We have all heard that diesels last "thousands of hours". Since you already have thousands of hours boatdiesel.com would be a good resource.
Properly maintained work boats go as high as 10k hours. One of our members used his Albin for charter and had gone through a couple of engines. If I recall he was around 5k before replacement? Search around the board. If I can find his name, I'll edit and add to this message.
