Hello All,
I'm looking to purchase a 32 command bridge but the boat I'm interested in has some numbers that don't make sense to me.
The boat has the 315 hp Cummins which is rated at 2800 rpm at wot.
The claimed performance numbers are 18 kts at 1850 rpm, burning 5.5 gpm. Max speed is listed as 21 kts. So, another 950 or 1000 rpm only gets you 3 more kts?
To me, it sounds like this boat is overproped. It's far away from where I live and before I make a trip and spend a few thousand for a survey to find out I'm right, can anyone with a 32 or 32+2 tell me if these numbers make sense to you?

Our 96 32+2 with the 315 Cummins would cruise at 16-18kts @ 2400 rpm and burn 10-12 gph, so 18@1850 sounds pretty high. But at 2800 WOT ours would easily hit 22-23 kts.

Our 2002 32+2 CB with Cummins 370 (which is rated for 3000 rpm, max) runs about 21-22 Knts WOT and I cruise at 2500 rpm making 15-16 Knts. We run a little heavy with hardtop, full cruising gear, tools, 3/4 to full fuel and half water, 2 people. Boat has a clean bottom. And there it is.

My 2002 CB has a Yanmar 370 hp and cruises around 15 knots at 3200 rpm’s. WOT is 3800 and 19.9 knots.
