I'm a little upset with the guy who installed this deck drain fitting
The deck drains on my 2003 ET have reached the end of their life. One shattered simply because a seagull, in a one-in-a-million freak occurrence, happened to drop a clam directly on it, sending rainwater running directly into the engineering space below the galley. So, I'm replacing them all. The flex hose they used to run these drains to the transom are all brittle and hard, and crack apart when you try to remove the, so I'm replacing that all as well. That means removing the hose from this T fitting. If you've ever done a job like this, you'll know exactly what I mean when you see it. Not fun.
And, of course, now that I'm seeing it enlarged on my monitor, I can see that the fitting is cracked, which means I'll need to replace it as well, which means I'll have to go through all the pain, suffering, and bruised knuckles all over again.

We replaced all our deck drains three years ago. They were ripe. I confess to using the royal we...we elected to let our mechanic do the work. It wasn't an easy job for sure. Very nice to have smooth-wall hose instead of that awful corrugated stuff.

Same! Replaced all of mine two years ago or maybe it was last years. Hoses to smooth bore but I did one thing that made the draining a difference. Changed out all the T pieces to Y pieces. Water now runs off faster and no longer over flows in the hatches.

Mariner - I feel your pain. We have done some of ours. I HATE hoses and barbs.

One of the first things I did. I used exhaust hose so I would never have to do it again. I'm sure the new owner will thank me....
