in the process of removing old bottom paint and got down to a blue layer that looks like it could be the gel coat. Anybody know what the original unpainted bottom color was on a 2005 28TE?

That could be the barrier coat.

It turns out, the hull is actually blue. Some chipped areas under blue are the fiberglass mat.

Yes, Albin used the hull-color gelcoat all the way to the keel. Most Albins were blue, though there are definitely some white ones out there, and I believe a few red. I think they must've gotten a deal on blue gelcoat.

My 31 was factory green and is green the whole way down after stripping the bottom
