Re: Boating season in North Florida
Pretty cold and windy winter season here in North Florida, finally getting some warm weather with light winds.
Hardly used the boat in December, January and February.
Palm Coast/Flagler Beach area.

Hi Norseman,
I'm in Palm Coast also. We're looking for either a 28 TE or 32 command bridge. Preferably with Cummins power. We went up to Virginia to see a 28. I don't know how you change a belt on this set up. If they would've moved the engine forward eve an inch or two, it would be perfect.
Overall, how do you like your 28?
By the way, I work at Palm Coast West Marine and we've probably seen each other!

Hi Paul.
Yeah, I have been to Palm Coast West Marine numerous times.
We moved here from Fort Lauderdale 4 years ago and we delivered the A-28TE in 4 days, nice little trip,
Once here I realized there is nowhere to go, at least compared to South Florida: There we would cruise to the Keys, Biscayne Bay and to the Bahamas, lots of choices.
Around Palm Coast no so much, like having a Ferrari in a parking lot.
Ended up selling the Albin and bought a smaller center console instead to buzz up and down the ICW, here is the current boat:

Re: Boating season in North Florida
Well, I'm hoping to find a 28 TE or a 32 command bridge. We came up here from Summerland Key through Broward county and Cat Cay in the Bahamas. I was lucky enough to work on the island for 4 years.
My intention would be to keep a boat in either Daytona or St. Augustine. It looks like pretty good fishing 50 or so miles out of either port.
The 32 seems really hard to come by, but it really suits our desire to fish and cruise.
Good luck with your newest craft and I hope you enjoy the coming season on the water.

Re: Boating season in North Florida
Yeah, boating was good yesterday but this time of the year it is on and off quite a bit.
I went to West Marine a few days ago and looked for you but only 1 employee there and his name was Brandon.
There was an Albin dealer in the Stuart area some years ago and therefore a few 28TEs are still floating around,
I bought my 28TE nine years ago in Florida and was lucky with the purchase as the previous owner was an engineer and
Kept meticulous records with everything he did on a spreadsheet with dates, hours, etc.
Cosmetically not so much but I had it wet sanded, polished and waxed and from there on it stayed shiny and I could shave in the reflection from the hull:)
I also inspected and surveyed 2 other 28s in Florida but rejected them due to neglect by owners.
Happy hunting.

Re: Boating season in North Florida
Glad to hear you got out. Better weather is coming!
I'm actually retired and was working 3 days a week but now I'm down to Fridays, just to keep my discount for whenever I find the next boat.
Sounds like you found a good one. It's hard to believe how boats are neglected here in Florida. That's a lot of money to throw out the window.
Hopefully I'll have something soon.
Stay healthy and have fun.
