Outboard conversion
Looking at upgrading to an albin tournament 28 TE but not a big fan of big inboard. Has anyone ever attempted a bracket and dual outboards? I'd like to up the cruising speed for long runs offshore here in Virginia.

Re: Outboard conversion
Just bought a 28TE, if I like it enough and need more speed this is my plan a few years down the road.

Re: Outboard conversion
These boats were designed to have the engine weight centered in the cockpit area with the tankage carefully balanced around the center of gravity.
I own one and would rather sell the boat than see it turned into a rear heavy dragster. Terry Compton who was a superlative boat designer responsible for the Albins would also be horrified. And the boat would be awfully unstable in all sea states.
